I did it … FINALLY

I finally decided to order the camera I wanted. I got it from Harmony Computers. I couldn’t pass up the deal. And I’ve been talking about getting it forever now. I did miss the really good deal ($205 and free shipping), but I still get free shipping (and it’s only $217 … still cheaper than anywhere in town).

I know I shouldn’t have gotten it. I hate putting it on my credit card. But I need to replace mine since it’s broke. I need to be able to take pics of Avalanche for the website. I debated about ordering it all afternoon. I finally said “screw it!” I’ve been using a broken camera since May. I don’t wanna have to fight with it any more.

I want my money!

I am so fucking pissed right now. I got paid yesterday afternoon and took it to the bank right after work (there was no way I could get it to the bank any earlier). But since it was Friday and after 5pm, the money isn’t going to be available for me to spend until Monday. That leaves me with NO MONEY!!! censored Ya know what … if you’re open and allow people to make deposits, then let the money be fucking available to them!!! I need groceries. I guess I’m gonna have to write a check instead of using my cash card. And I need to pay rent. They shouldn’t deposit that check ’til at least Monday anyways. This just pisses me off.

Almost me

I found another one of those avatar/doll making thingies thanks to Melissa (she’s linked to some other cool ones in the past too). This one actually almost looks like me (but I’m not that skinny … LOL). The hair is pretty damn close to mine though. I just wish I could get the color to be like that … it’s close to that, but not quite. Check out the extended entry to see “me”.

Crushing

Why is it that no matter where I go, I always find a guy to “crush on”? love Whether it’s a regular at the bar I hang out at or at my last job (or previous ones) or anywhere else for that matter. I always seem to find a guy that I obsess over find very appealing. drool2

And of course it’s happening again at my new job. There was a guy I “noticed” when I first started, but he’s got a girl friend. He’s still a fun guy that I’d like to be friends with though. Lately, I’ve been “crushing on” another guy. I’ve talked to him more recently. He seems like a really nice guy. And he’s kinda cute too. I have no idea if he’s single or not. But either way, I’m not gonna do anything. Partly ‘cuz I’m a candy ass and partly ‘cuz he’s a coworker. Now … if he would show that he’s interested in me … that might be a different story. LOL

Let’s party

Boy do I love my employers. They like to have a good time. Today was Neil’s last day. So, we had a party starting at 4pm. The guys played a little Nintendo … they were playing track and field on the Pad thingy (I don’t know the technical name for it … but I’m sure you know what I mean … the thingy you lay out on the floor and jump around on … LOL). Boy was that fun to watch … rofl

Then we had cake. And pop too. Too bad we didn’t have ice cream. But I’m not gonna complain.

And then we had a paper airplane contest. I guess it’s something they do every now and then. They even have a trophy for the person who’s plane flies the farthest. I was in the lead ’til almost the end. Then Justin’s plane flew farther. Dang. Oh well. I guess making those airplanes out of the labels from my beer bottles in the bar helped … G-LOL

It was pretty fun. I think they’re going out tonite to see Neil off, but I’m not gonna go. I need my sleep (but I’m sure I still won’t go to bed early). But we’ve got a picnic coming up in a few weeks that I’ll go to. That should be fun. I believe it’s gonna be catered. Woohoo!

Candy, candy, candy

I’m at the ‘rents for the weekend (at least ’til tonite … not sure if I’m gonna stay overnite or not … I got here yesterday). There’s an all-school reunion this weekend, and they moved Heritage Days from September to this weekend because of the reunion. It’s also my 10 year reunion this year. shock 10 years … can you believe it!! I’m old … LOL. They’re having a get together tonite, but I’m not gonna go … even if I’m still here. High school wasn’t the best time for me. I’d rather leave it in the past. People know where to find me if they really want to see me.

There was a parade this morning. I was actually impressed by it. It lasted about an hour. Probably only because there were class floats in it. My class didn’t have one though. Neither did Lisa’s or Dad’s. I told Dad he should have ridden a lawn mower (he fixes lawn mowers at work among other things) in the parade and been his classes float. And Lisa and I should have drove my car in it … my side as my class’s float and her side as her class’s float … LOL.

But if we had been in the parade, then we wouldn’t have gotten any candy. LOL Lisa and I were picking up candy as it came near us (or I made Lisa run out and get it … G-razz3 ). We got a pretty good pile going too. I made Lisa run across the street and get a bag from Dad (his work is across the street from where we were sitting and he was out watching the parade). He already had a bad with candy in it … a pretty good amount too. I must have missed seeing him get it … LOL. Lisa and I put our candy in it and the bag was damn near full. Lisa and I were gonna split it, but I figured that since Dad had gotten some of it, we’d put it in a bowl and leave it on the table for anybody. Poor Mom was stuck at work. But she was out watching the parade. She called a bit ago. I guess she got a little bit of candy too.

I think I’m gonna go eat another Tootsie Roll or 5 … LOL.

I WANT IT!

They’re taunting me, damn them. Harmony Computers has my camera for $205 with no tax and free ground shipping!! shock Aaaaaahhhhhhhh … I soooooo want to get it. That price kicks ass!! I am so tempted to say screw it and just put it on my credit card. I could pay it off before too long. I just don’t know. I really need a new camera and this is the one I want. How can I beat that price?

Too tired to surf

It’s sad but true. I’ve been too tired lately to site on the computer at nite. Partly because I need to go to bed earlier at nite. I figure I’m only getting around 6 hrs a nite or so. Not enough for me. And then sitting and staring at a computer for 8 hours doesn’t help any. I just don’t feel like sitting here at nite.

Don’t get me wrong, I do check my usual haunts. But other than that, I haven’t really been doing much online. Hell, I haven’t been doing much other than sitting on my ass on the couch … LOL. I FINALLY cleaned up my computer desk and kitchen table. They were both disaster areas. I can actually see the bottom of both now. It’ll probably stay that way for the next couple of days and then get buried again. But then again, if I’m not working on the computer much, then there won’t be anything to cover the desk with.

I do know that I need to put up the Avalanche pics from 2 weeks ago (damn … I’d better get on the ball). I’ll have to do that either tonite or tomorrow nite. I’ve got some other changes to make on the site too. Too bad I couldn’t work on it at work … LOL.

But I need to go find some food. My stomach is trying to eat itself. Not good … LOL.

Tempting

We’ve got some massive storms going on in the region tonite. There have been multiple tornado warnings on them tonite. Cass County is under one currently. I am SOOOOO tempted to go out cruising to see what I can see. But I’m not. Not by myself. Maybe if I had someone with me who could keep an eye on the sky why I kept an eye on the road. I’d probably end up in a ditch ‘cuz I was watching the sky instead of the road. THAT wouldn’t be good … LOL. So I’ll just keep an eye on the radar and listen to the radio and watch the local tv stations for updates on the weather.

TGIF!!

I am so glad that it’s Friday. I am so tired. I really need to start going to bed earlier. I figure that I’ve been getting around 6 hours a nite. No wonder I’m so tired all the time. I’m gonna try to make up for some of it this weekend … G-grin

But today was a good day. I worked at the info booth again today at the Street Fair. It was nice and cool. A bit windy, but not too bad. And I had fun. Jon and I talked more than Troy and I did yesterday. And we had a good laugh after seeing Clifford the Big Red Dog (yes … someone was dressed up in that costume and roaming the street fair). Jon made a comment about taking Clifford down … talk about a good laugh. OMG!! I should try to find a stuffed Clifford to give him so he can remember it … G-lmao Jon went and got some mini doughnuts while were were on shift. They smelt so good that I had to go get a bag. Damn were they good. He also ended up getting a pretzel too and then a pork sandwich from the Famous Dave’s stand. And this was all in a 2 hour period … acutally, it was probably within 30 minutes … LOL. Neither one of us wanted to go back to work at noon, but we had no choice.

I took lunch at 12:30pm. I got a beef sandwich from Famous Dave’s. I was gonna get a fry bread taco (aka an Ufta Taco), but Jon’s sandwich had looked so good. After I finished my sandwich, I got a funnel cake. I HAD to get a funnel cake. Damn that was good. Then I wandered around a bit and then got some strawberry Dippin’ Dots before heading back to work. When I was wandering, I found a couple of cow things that I had to get. There’s pics at the end of this entry (in the extended entry).

Then, about 4:15pm or so, we headed down to Bertrosa’s. I guess it’s a Friday tradition to head down there for some Sliders (damn those are good … they’re kinda like french dips) and nachos and beer. And they pay for it. And we still put down that we worked ’til 5pm. What awesome people to work for. I had a Bud Light and a couple pieces of the slider (my tummy wasn’t happy with me from all the stuff I ate at lunch … LOL).

After work I headed to visit Mona and get my hair cut (it’s nice being friends with the person who cuts your hair). She trimmed it up for me and tried to help me get some volume in it. And I found out that they’re going to a street dance in Casselton tomorrow nite. I think I’m gonna tag along. I could use a street dance. And she and I are gonna go to the street fair tomorrow if Mom and Lisa don’t come up (maybe even if they do). I’m still gonna sleep in tomorrow.

And then I get home from work and find that package from Colleen. I also got my free issue (finally) of NASCAR Illustrated. I forgot when I sent away for that. (Lisa … there’s an article on Casey in it. It’s the August issue)

I think I’m gonna go crash on the couch. I’m not even hungry for supper yet. I ate too much earlier today … LOL. I’m sure I’ll munch on something later.

And here’s the pics I promised of the cows I got. Aren’t they adorable?
