Coolness

I absolutely love my new camera. This Canon A75 rocks!! I’ve been playing with it a bit, but I really do need to read the manual. The camera has some manual settings as well as some preset special ones. I need to figure out what settings to use to take the best pics … especially of Avalanche onstage. I don’t wanna have to lighten the pics in my graphics program. That’s one of the main reasons I chose this camera.

And some of the preset special settings are cool. There’s a fireworks setting that I might try out next week. The pyrotechnics convention is in town again. I’ve got a couple of one nite tickets from work. Lisa and I are planning on going on Wednesday nite. Would be a good time to test that feature.

It’s also got nite scene, portrait, fast shutter, slow shutter, landscape, and panoramic modes. And the movie mode kicks ass. You can take up to 640×480 movies WITH sound. That’s gonna be fun with Avalanche. I can get a movie clip with sound to put on the website. How cool is that?

And if I play with the manual settings, hopefully I won’t have to adjust the pics too much in my graphics program. That’s why I need to play with it more. And I’m gonna search the net for some tips too. I did post on a camera forum to see if I can get any tips. A couple people already gave me a couple tips.

If anyone who comes across this entry has a Canon A75 (or any other Canon A-series camera), if you’ve got any tips, they’d be greatly appreciated.
