Right now, I'm just using the TarPit and Spaminator plugins. They are doing their jobs ... none of the nearly 1000 or more spam attempts got through to moderation or actually being shown on my site. It was just annoying. All of the attempts had blank referrers. I'd like to somehow stop them from even submitting or trying to submit comment spam if the referrer is blank. I'm not sure if there's something for that or not. For now, I've renamed the wp-comments*.php files. Hopefully that'll help. I'll have to check into that SpamWord Block plugin you mentioned.

Spambots are so annoying. I am using Tarpit and Kitten's Spam Words, which I found through you. I am also using SpamWord Block by Josh Burley. It all seems to be working. What are you using now?
