I’m not exactly looking forward to Wednesday. I’m going to a conference with 5 other people from work. That part I don’t mind. What I do mind is that we are leaving at 4:00 AM!!! That means I’m going to have to get up around 3:00 am to get ready for work and then drive there. We won’t get back to town ’til after 10:00 pm!! That’s gonna be a looooong day.

I took Friday off from work. I could use a day off. And after Wednesday … it’ll be nice to be able to sleep in. I’ll probably be going to pick Lisa up in the afternoon (if I don’t do it Thursday after work). And Avalanche is gonna be at the House of Rock Friday nite. That should be fun. I’ve been wanting to check that place out. Now I’ve got an excuse.

I need to get off this computer. I should set my VCR to take CSI: Miami and go to bed early. But that never happens. I have the best of intentions … LOL. And I was so busy trying to get the admin side of my blog back customized the way I liked it (the posting page) that I haven’t updated my Dale Jr and Chance 2 websites with the stats from this past weekend’s race. I’ll have to do it tomorrow after work. I just don’t feel like doing it now.

And I STILL haven’t researched finding a new bank. And I haven’t ordered my new monitor yet either. I need to stop being so damn lazy.

My tax refund FINALLY got deposited in my account yesterday. They didn’t post it online ’til today though. Another reason they tick me off.

So … this weekend I will be shopping for a new computer monitor. I’ll be ordering some Satin Hands lotion (Mary Kay stuff … my hands are so dry and that stuff is nice). And maybe looking for some other stuff. That money is gonna be gone before I know it.

I gotta go get ready to go out tonite. Avalanche is playing at Pete’s tonite. I still don’t know what I’m going to wear. And I need to try to fix my hair.

Well … I’m all upgraded to version 1.5. I still have some kinks to work out. I think I have most of my plugins working. I need to double-check everything though. I also need to get the admin side back to my way. I need to add the little hacks I added in that I use all the time. I should be able to get that all done by the end of tonite. Back to it then …

I’ve decided that I’m going to upgrade my WP to version 1.5. I was going to do it this past weekend, but I got lazy. All I did was watch the races. So I figure I’ll do it tonite. The upgrade itself shouldn’t take very long. It’s the getting it back to the way it looks now that might take longer. I don’t know if I’ll have to update the plugins I’m using or the ones I wrote. I’ll have to add back in my hacks and stuff for inline comments and all that fun stuff.

Hopefully it won’t take too long. So just be warned … if things look weird tonite or don’t behave properly, it’s because of the upgrade. I’ll be working on them all nite … or however long it takes me to get it finished (hopefully not all nite, but who knows).

I went to Walmart after work today. I was gonna go on Saturday, but I had enough at the mall. I knew Walmart would be worse. I had to go tonite. I’m basically out of conditioner. And I needed some other necessities (Kleenex, chap stick, contact solution). No fun stuff.

I walked into the place and was completely confused. They’ve been remodeling because they’re turning into a [que cheesy cartoon superhero music] … da da da daaaaaaaaa … Super Walmart. LOL

They’ve had sections blocked off in the past, but everything has pretty much been in the same place. Not tonite. I couldn’t find the shampoo at first. Eventually found it.

They really should have maps at the door so you can find where everything is now. I wonder where they’re gonna move the stuff I need to next?

Since there was nothing on tv tonite, I decided to go rent a movie. They didn’t really have much. The only one that was out that I would have liked to have seen was Cellular. I decided to get The Chronicles of Riddick. I remember wanting to see it when I saw the previews for it when it was in the theaters. And Vin Diesel is in it …

I was confused for the entire movie. I liked it, but I just felt lost. After the movie, I did a little looking online and found out it was the sequel (I think) to Pitch Black. If I had known that … I would have gotten that one too and watched that one first. Maybe I wouldn’t have been so damn lost.

I got my state tax refund today … or at least I think I did … LOL. There was an ‘Electronic Deposit’ in my account today for $6.00. That’s what my state tax refund is supposed to be. I’m not expecting any other sort of electronic deposit. So, I’ve deducted that it is indeed my refund (it would be nice if my bank was more descriptive in the online account stuff … another reason to find a new bank).

I hope that means that my federal refund is on the way soon. I’m itchin’ to get a new monitor. And the longer it is, the more things I’m thinking of that I should get that I’ve been needing/wanting. Monitor … stereo … computer memory … entertainment center … printer ink … cell phone charger … the more I think the more I add … LOL.

Since sometime yesterday (at least before 6pm), my channel 99 has been showing how-to type programming for the Dish Network. I DO NOT HAVE the Dish Network. I have cable tv. Normally, I don’t give a crap when this happens (and it has happened before), but today I’m extremely pissed off. Why? Because my channel 99 is FX. At noon today, the Gatorade races for Daytona 500 qualifying start. I have my vcr set to tape them since I’m at work. I want to tape the actual races and not that shit that they’re showing. I called my cable company, but of course, their office hours don’t start ’til 8am. I left a message with their ‘overflow call center’. They’d better have that fixed by noon or they’ll get another pissy message from me after work (since their office closes at 5pm and that’s when I leave work).

Good thing we have cable at work (different cable company … the main one in town). I’m going to take lunch a little before noon (I usually take it at 11:30) and turn the tv on to FX and watch the races for an hour. Dale Jr is in the first race anyways. My luck, someone else is going to get in there before me and I won’t be able to watch it.

Yesterday I bought 2 Powerball and 2 HotLotto lottery tickets. I had $4 in change from the grocery store, so I thought “why the hell not”. You can’t win if you don’t buy the tickets.

Checked the Powerball numbers tonite. 1 number on 1 of the Powerball tickets. Nothing. Damn.

Checked the HotLotto numbers. Saw that I had the HotBall on one of my tickets. I had one other number on that same ticket (gentlemen … do I have one number right … LOL). So … I winned the lottery. Okay … so it’s only $3. It’s still better than nothing. I only lost $1 in the exchange.

So what am I going to do with my winnings? Get 3 more lottery tickets … Not sure if I’ll only get HotLottos or if I’ll get a Powerball too or if I’ll get a Powerball, a HotLotto, and a WildCard. I’ve got ’til Saturday to decide.

Now I’m heading to bed. That alarm goes off too damn early in the morning (even though I keep hitting snooze for about a half hour … )

My car is fucking possessed. I went over to Robin’s tonite to drop off her bday present. On my way back, my car thought it would drive itself. I was coming up to a red light, so I took my foot off the gas and waited a second or 2 before putting on the brake. Well, when my foot was in between pedals, my car decided to accelerate ALL BY ITSELF!!! My foot was in mid-air, and my car was speeding up … 20mph … 30mph … 35mph. Freaked me out. Thank goodness I had a ways to go before I HAD to stop. And I had to mash down the brake too. The roads were a little slick because of the snow *, but even after I was stopped, I had to keep the pedal mashed down because the car wanted to keep going. The wind was from a different direction than where I was coming from (I was being pushed north and the wind was FROM the west-northwest). After I got going again after the light turned green, everything was back to normal. I’d take my foot off the gas and I’d start to slow down. That just freaked me out.

* The last time I went to Robin’s … when I left it was snowing and blowing like crazy. I think next time she needs to come over HERE. LOL
