Apartment Hunters
Hello and Welcome to Apartment Hunters. I’m [insert cool sounding host name]. Meet Becky … an girl looking to get out of the hole-in-the-wall apartment she currently lives in and into a nicer one.
Which apartment will she choose …
- One at the lower end of her budget that’s a little small, is a garden level, and is a property of a management company with a not so good reputation (I hear they don’t like to give all of your deposit back to you when you leave … but maybe they’ve gotten better).
- Or one at the top end of her budget that’s bigger and really nice. Either a 1st floor with a walkout or a 3rd floor with a balcony. Bigger storage rooms on the 3rd floor. Nice layout. Half wall between the kitchen and the living room. And is only about 2 or so blocks from her current apartment (not very far to move
- Or another one that she hasn’t found yet.
Stay tuned to find out which one she chooses.

Boy do I watch too much tv. LOL I got the idea for this post when I was in the bathroom at work. Good thing too ‘cuz it cracked me up. If anyone had seen me, they’d be like … “she’s even weirder than I thought”.
Those are the first 2 that I’ve looked at so far. I really like the second one. But I’m also thinking of some things that aren’t so good. Besides the rent being at the high end of my budget … the security deposit is $280. I like the ones on the 3rd floor better than on the 1st floor because they have the larger storage rooms. But a 1st floor one would be nice … especially for moving in. And there really isn’t any place for my kitchen table except maybe in the living room … by the half wall or something. Not that I really use my table for anything other than throwing crap on … LOL. I should have taken my camera with to take pics to help me decide. But they do have a video on the property management website of the apartments (along with some pictures).
There are 3 one bedrooms open in that building. And I think I’m one of only 2 who have looked at them so far. And they’re all available now. Maybe I could move in early. That would be nice considering I need to be out of this one by noon on Sept. 30th.
I’m gonna call some more tomorrow at lunch and then again after work. I might just call some of the property management companies directly instead of calling the ones in the paper. That way I could cover more ground at once.
I’m not gonna take too long to decide though. One bedrooms get snatched up fast … especially since school is starting up again. Don’t want those damn college kids taking my apartment. But I don’t wanna jump at this one and then up leaving myself short on cash after paying rent. It’s gonna happen as it is some months due to the number of days in a pay period (I get paid on the 15th and 31st of every month).
I’ve got some thinking (and figuring) to do …
I’d honestly go for the second apartment. It sounds nicer.
