I don’t know what is going on with me today. I’m having one of those “Calgon, take me away!” days (weeks, month, years … LOL). I’m just not sure what the deal is. It started as soon as I got to work and read an email from the client. Of course, I take things personally, whether they’re meant that way or not. Ever since then, I’ve just felt really upset. I had to come home on lunch. I just needed to get out of there. Hopefully I can calm down before I get back to work.

I really hope the rest of the day goes by quickly (and without incident). Then tonite, I can help Robin again at her new house … if she needs help that is. She’s got this week off from work so she can work on the new house, so she might be getting stuff done during the day. I’m excited for her …. but jealous too. I want my own house. I’m sick of living in an apartment. But I’ll be in one for quite some time to come. I need to get a second job so I can save up and maybe get a house before I die … LOL.

Ugh … I need to head back to work in about 10 minutes. I wish I lived closer to work … so it wouldn’t take so long to get there. Oh well. At least I have a job.

Mood: empty

I thought I’d make a quick post since I’ve been posting so sparsely lately.

I’ve been having issues with my eyes the past couple weeks. It seems like my right eye has changed enough that I need a new prescription. I can’t wear my contacts for very long before getting a headache … and not a normal headache … it’s more of an ache near my temples. Not pleasant. So … I’ve been wearing my glasses. And these damn things are almost 6 years old. So the prescription is REALLY old. I have an eye appointment this Friday. I’m hoping it’s just that my eyes have changed and not that using that other contact solution caused the problem. I just know I can’t wait to get a new prescription so I can actually see the computer screen clearly again. I’m getting both contacts and glasses. Hopefully I can still wear contacts.

And I’ve been helping out a friend the past few days. Robin bought a house (a townhouse actually). She closed on Friday. I helped her out this weekend sanding and painting her kitchen cabinets and taking down the million nails that were still in the walls. And I helped take down the wallpaper border in the bathroom. I’m home tonite ‘cuz I’ve got a bunch of stuff to catch up on … bills, budget, etc. She said that she’d just be cleaning tonite … prepping for painting, I’m sure. I should be able to help her tomorrow nite after work. I can’t wait ’til she’s all done. It’s a nice townhouse, and the colors she picked for the kitchen (a flesh color for the cabinets and an orange rust for the walls) are gonna look awesome. And she’s painting one wall in the living room a deep red. It’s gonna be awesome.

Other than that … not much else is going on with me. Lisa is coming up this weekend (one more person to help Robin move … LOL). We’re going to a RedHawks game on Friday nite. I’ve got 2 free tickets from work. It’s a ‘work outing’. We did it last year too. Hopefully the weather will be nice. Then Saturday will be spent helping Robin move.

Well … I’d better get going. I need to get my crap done tonite so I can help Robin the rest of the week.
