I re-enabled comments this afternoon. Sorry for all the vulgar language in my post last nite, but I was really ticked off. Hopefully the spammers got sick of the errors they were getting because the files they were looking for were removed, and hopefully they moved on. I still need to look into the latest spam prevention methods. I’m just glad that all of that crap didn’t go into the moderation queue. All I had to do was delete the email that were sent notifying me that the f’kers were trying to leave comments. I am glad about that.

Pay no attention to any errors you see displayed around here for a while. I’ve removed the comment files because there’s some spamming assholes who have REALLY PISSED ME OFF tonite. I swear that there have had to have been near 1000 or more attempts to post spam on my blog. They haven’t been successful, but I’m getting TONS of Spaminator and TarPit emails. I’ve getting fucking sick of it. I need to implement some of the newer spam plugins tomorrow. I’m just sick of deleting those fucking notification emails and banning ips and just dealing with this shit.

If I keep getting the Spaminator and TarPit emails now, then those fuckers have some pretty amazing spam tools. I don’t know how they can try to post spam comments when the files for commenting have been removed from the site.

I think it’s time to shut off the computer (or at least the monitor and speakers) and go to bed. Otherwise, I’ll be so pissed that I won’t be able to get to sleep. I’m already worked up and pissed. But I guess that’s what the fucking spammers want.

To all my regular readers (if I even have any), I’m sorry for the tone of this post and for the language in it. But I am VERY NOT HAPPY right now. Spammers tend to do that to ya.

My websites have been down all day. They finally got back up around 6:15pm or so. I guess my host decided to do a server move. Would have been nice to get some notice on it. They did post something on the support site, but I don’t check that every day. It would have been nice if they had sent out an email with the info. The support site was down most of the day too so I had no idea what was up until the support site came back online about an hour ago. At least I’m back up now.

Mood: tired

It’s official. I’ve now converted my personal blog to a WordPress blog. I still have some tweaking to do at this point, but for the most part, it’s all set up how I want it.

If you’ve been a regular reader of WxGal’s World :: Journal then you’ll have noticed a couple things. First … the URL is different. Second … I didn’t import any of the entries from my old blog.

I wanted to make a fresh start. Leave all of the negativity in my old blog (not that there won’t be any here, but … ). I’m going to leave my old one up, but leave it as just an archive. I’m going to close all comments and trackbacking. And since I’m using my MT install as a content management thing for my Dale Jr website, I’m not going to delete the install. So I figured it would be easier to just put it in another subdomain. I’ll put a link in my old one so that people who visit there can make there way here.

Also, this blog will hopefully contain more code and scripts and hacks and stuff … especially for WordPress. It just depends on if there’s anything I want to add and if I can figure it out (or if Jen figures it out before me … )

Crap … it’s almost 1:30pm. I haven’t even eaten yet. I’ve been so absorbed in getting this new blog up and running. And I need to get tabs for my car today too (better do it before I forget). But I definitely wanna get this up and running … fully customized … before the end of the week. I won’t have as much time to work on it starting next week since I start a new job on Monday … I’ll talk more about that here later. Otherwise you can find info on it at my old blog.
