I FINALLY got my Dale Jr fan site … WxGal’s World Dale Jr back up and running. I had stopped updating it last year in June. I just lost interest in my computer. But that’s not gonna happen this year. I’m gonna keep it going all season and add more fun stuff to it as the season goes along.

It was really easy to get up too. I’m using the same database as my TruexZone.com site. I mean, Martin and Dale Jr are both running in the Nextel Cup series this year. The only difference is that I need one table for Martin’s results and one for Dale Jr’s results. Otherwise, the code is almost identical. Just some styling changes for each site and different driver and team pages. And walah (is that how that’s spelled … lol) … it’s up and running. Of course … the forum and shoutouts sections will be different.

So … that’s 2 websites launched in 2 nites. Not too shabby. Now … I just need to add those extra sections and finish up the weather page. Then I can revamp my main site and journal and who knows where I’ll go from there … LOL.

Mood: accomplished

Mood: ecstatic

I went to the mall after work to get a birthday present for a friend of mine. I was just gonna go to Hallmark … that’s where the present I wanted to get her was at. But between my car and Hallmark was ProMotorsports. Bad store … bad store. LOL If you’ve never heard of it before, it’s a store that has NASCAR diecast and merchandise in it (along with some other motorsports stuff, but who cares about that … ). I was just gonna see what they had and that’s it. Well … the best of intentions … LOL.

I ended up buying a “Dale Earnhardt Jr. Attitude Set of 72 Cards”. They had them on QVC. This is the first time I’ve seen them at ProMotorsports. But they had 4 differernt tins. The cards are all the same, but the tins were different. I AM going to resist getting the other 3 tins. But that doesn’t mean someone can’t get them for me for my bday (that’s in less than 2 weeks) or for Christmas. Hint hint … LISA.

Well … I’m starving. Need to go dig up some food. Probably leftover lasagna.

Mood: hungry

I’m very superstitious when it comes to watching NASCAR races. I’ve my Dale Jr bracelet from Colleen that I always wear on Sundays (or Saturday nites) during the race. I also have a little bear wearing a Dale Jr sweatshirt that I put on my coffee table. And when I wear my red Dale Jr tshirt, he runs good. Well … today I wore my red tshirt, but completely forgot to put on my bracelet and put my bear on my coffee table. So … it’s all my fault that Dale Jr had such a crappy day and ends up with a DNF … I’m a bad Dale Jr fan …

Dale Jr … I PROMISE that I won’t forget to wear my bracelet or put my bear on the coffee table ever again … especially for the rest of the races during the “Chase”. Can you ever forgive me?
