Look who came to visit

You will NEVER guess who came to visit me last nite. And he decided to stick around too. How lucky did I get? Who is it you ask …

Week off

I don’t have to work this week … G-razz3 I’m using the last of my vacation time up … I’ve got 40 hours left … so that’s a week off. I had to use it by the end of the month, so I figured I might as well take it now.

What am I doing on my vacation? Absolutely nothing. I have no plans. I wish I had more money saved up and a reliable car. I would have gone down to Kansas to visit Melissa. I haven’t seen her since I went down there 3 years ago on vacation. I miss her. And I’d love to get out of town … out of state … for a little while. But no dice. She did tell me that she’s planning on being up here at the end of the month. I’m hoping we can get together some time. I want to catch up with her and see her kids. They’ve grown up so much already.

I had planned on seeing if Mona or Barb or Amanda wanted to do anything during the week … depending on their work schedules. But, as I said in my last post, I’m not sure they’d even want to do anything with me. They know I have the week off. If they want to do something … they know how to find me.

I did see Barb and Amanda last nite at RibFest. They made some comment about why I didn’t say goodbye when I left. Obviously … they have no idea what was going on with me. I know I should just say how I feel … but why break my pattern of bottling things up?

Avalanche is playing at Bucks Thursday nite. I’m sure everyone will be out. It’ll be interesting to see how things go. I’m tempted to get there early and sit somewhere and see if they even come up to me. But I’m sure I’ll fall in to my old pattern. loser <- me

Only the lonely

Last Friday nite I had a blast. It was Barb’s birthday, and we all went to the Windbreak. Barb was there, of course, and Mona and her man and Amanda and Pete and some other people that I didn’t know. We went to O’Leary’s after the Windbreak closed. Then we sat around the O’Leary’s parking lot for a bit and then went to breakfast. I didn’t get home ’til a little after 4am. It was the most fun I’ve had in a LONG time.

Saturday I got my hair cut … Mona cuts my hair. She mentioned Pete’s plans to have a bonfire. I had heard about it the nite before, but didn’t know that it was Pete who was doing it. I told Mona to let me know what was going on and if I could come with, if nobody minded. She said she’d give me a call. Well … it started to rain about 10 minutes after I got home and kept raining all nite. So I figured there was no bonfire. And I never heard from Mona.

Last nite Avalanche was at the Windbreak. I was looking forward to it all week. It was the start of my vacation (I have all of next week off), and everyone was gonna be out again. After last week, I thought I’d have a blast. Was I wrong …

Is it? Or isn’t it?

Last Friday, Kenny Chesney had a concert here in Fargo. I didn’t have the money to go … cry I was out at Pistol Pete’s instead. Avalanche was playing. So, of course, I had to be there. Had a blast. Thank goodness it wasn’t as crazy as Thursday nite was. I ended up leaving Thursday at midnite ‘cuz the crowd was nuts and pissing me off. Stayed Friday nite ’til close (at 2am!).

Lisa saw this guy walking around … thud

Lisa, Mona, 'Kenny', and Me

Of course, Mona had to grab him and get a pic. So … is that really Kenny? I don’t know. Why don’t ya look at the pic and tell me … neener

Nites like tonite

You know … it’s nites like tonite that put me in a good mood … make me happy. I had no plans for tonite other than to go to Walmart to get some stuff I needed. I got a call about 5:30pm from Robin. She asked what I was doing at 6:30. Today is her birthday, and she was going out with two co-workers to Applebees and called to invite me to go too. I’m glad she did. I haven’t seen her in a while. I don’t see her as often as I should. She’s great.

Anyways … I met her there (actually, I beat her there … G-grin ). We ordered beers while we were waiting for her co-workers. We talked and drank and finally ate. She ended up having 2 beers (actually 1 1/2 ) and I only had 1. It was fun. We were there for about and hour and a half. It was good to catch up. We keep talking about going to The House of Rock sometime. We need to actually make plans to do so.

I never made it out to Walmart. Didn’t feel like going after leaving Applebees. I’ll go tomorrow after work. I might get my hair cut too if Mona is working. Then maybe I’ll ask her about that guy. I might try to talk her into coloring my hair for me if I get the stuff to do it. I’ll pay her too. I need a change. I need a new cut too.

Sneak attack

I had every intention to go to visit Robin then Tim and then Mona tonite playing Santa. Ya see … Santa left some stuff for them with me.

Well … I made it to Robin’s and Tim’s. I wasn’t planning on staying to late at Robin’s. We ended up talking (and having 2 beers … drink_beer G-grin ) for a hour and a half. When I got to her place at 7pm, it was still nice out. When I left at 8:30pm, it was crappy. I knew we were supposed to get some crappy weather, but I didn’t think it was coming ’til later tonite. Guess I was wrong. Damn are those streets slippery.

I did stop at Tim’s since he lives close to Robin. I didn’t stay long though ‘cuz I wanted to get home before it got worse. Obviously, didn’t make it to Mona’s. I called her after I got home and told her I’d come over tomorrow nite. It’s late anyway, and she lives over in West Fargo. I didn’t want to trek over there in this weather.

Well … my pizza rolls are done … I’m gonna go eat. I think those beers gave me the munchies … LOL.

I don’t know where you found it, but I absolutely love it. I think it’s gonna be my new good luck charm on Sundays. G-wink You know that you didn’t need to send it (but we covered that … LOL). You know I love you. I’m glad we’re friends. Hopefully we can meet up some day.

And for the rest of you, you can see a picture of what she sent me in the extended entry.
