My computer chair has been very squeaky lately. Last weekend when Lisa came up, she brought Dad’s 3-in-1 oil with her so I could try to fix the squeaks. It seemed to help a little. But that’s the least of my worries now.

I was sitting here doing some stuff online and all of a sudden I heard a snap and my chair went forward a little. Uh oh. I looked and the part where the seat is attached to the base is almost completely broken. It looks like the weld gave way. Crap.

It’s still (barely) in one piece, but I’m not sure how long it will hold. Guess I need a new chair. I might ask at work if they’d be willing to sell one of the excess chairs that are sitting around and how much they’d one for one. They are nice chairs. Otherwise, it looks like I’ll be getting another cheap (crappy) Walmart chair. I’m a cheapskate and won’t fork over the money for a nice one. So I guess it’s my own fault when they break …

I DO have some ducktape in the trunk of my car. Maybe I can use that to fix my chair … at least for a little while. :)

Mood: hungry   Busch Series Qualifying

I decided to come home for lunch today and take a slightly different path. I think it might have been a little bit quicker, not much, but every little bit helps. But it was definitely less stressful. Only one spot that might irritate me. It’s a stop light though, so it’s not that long. I’m not sure if it would be more of a pain at the end of the day or not. But I’ll try it after work tonite. I’m thinking that as long as the weather is decent, I might come home for lunch every day. Not sure there yet.

Gonna go finish eating. I still have about 15-20 mintues before I have to head back. And I’ve already been home for about 10min. Maybe getting out of there at lunch time will break up the day a little more and make things more bearable.

One of the biggest things that irritated the hell out of me at work is the fact that most mornings (expecially now) I get to work before anyone with keys does. So I have to sit in the hall and wait.

Not anymore.

I got a key to the office this morning. Now that I have one, I should ask if it would be okay if I came in 15 minutes early and left 15 minutes early.

Mood: blah   the ticking of the clock

Thank goodness. The building FINALLY turned the heat on. I wish they had turned it on yesterday. It got a little chilly in here last nite. And it’s rather chilly in here still. I’m wearing a sweater and am still chilled. Hopefully it’ll heat up quickly. Maybe I should crank the heat all the way up to 90 … I don’t know if that would make it heat up any quicker though. I’m just glad that they finally turned it on.

I just feel so lost right now … both emotionally, and professionally.

I don’t know where my career is going. I know where I want it to go. But that doesn’t mean it will happen. And I don’t know HOW to make it happen.

And I just feel so alone. I’ve never been one who opens up about myself. I’ve always been more of a listener than a talker. Maybe that’s my problem. Maybe if I talked to someone, I’d feel better. But I don’t want to burden anyone. Everyone has there own issues. They don’t need to listen to mine.

I just wish someone would find me.

Aren’t I a pathetic loser … LOL.

I’m one of those silly people who read my horoscope. I don’t believe them, but I do like reading them and hoping they pan out. On my Google homepage, I have 2 horoscopes. I really like one of them (from CaliforniaPsychics.com) today, especially the highlighted part. Maybe this will be one horoscope that actually comes true.

… I moved in to my new apartment. Yep, that’s right … I’ve been in my apartment now for 1 year. It was a good choice. I like this apartment (and my neighbor is cute too … ). I wanna stay here for quite some time. It’s in a good spot in town too.

But that all depends on how the job search goes. Man I hope everything gets straightened out at least by the middle of next week. I HATE this waiting.
