I just checked my bank account online to see if my paycheck had been direct deposited yet. It’s in there this morning … WOOHOO!!! 
And get this … it’s dated YESTERDAY! Why can’t they post transactions the day they actually post? Another reason to hate this bank. This weekend, I WILL be researching other banks in town.
Now … off to pay those 2 bills before I go to work.
happyThis has been a LONG day. But a fun day. Got up at 3am. Got to work at 3:50am. Got to Minneapolis around 7:30am. Finally found the right place at about 8:15am. Seminar started at 8:30am (actually he didn’t start ’til about 8:45am). Seminar was done around 6pm. Went to get food. Left Minneapolis about 7:30pm. Got back to Fargo about 10:45pm. Got home about 11pm. LONG DAY!
At least Justin said we don’t have to come in to work tomorrow ’til 10am. I’ll probably get there before that. Depends on when I get up. Not sure yet when I’ll set my alarm for.
Brief overview … too tired to get into specifics. Seminar was good. Most of it was over my head, but not all. Learned some good stuff though. And the guy giving the talk was cute too. Made it that much more enjoyable … 
The van ride up there was pretty tame. We were all still pretty sleepy. The van ride home … that was a different story. So was supper after the seminar. Lots of laughter.
Can’t think anymore. Will maybe blog more indepth tomorrow. Must go to sleep now … 
tiredI’m not exactly looking forward to Wednesday. I’m going to a conference with 5 other people from work. That part I don’t mind. What I do mind is that we are leaving at 4:00 AM!!! That means I’m going to have to get up around 3:00 am to get ready for work and then drive there. We won’t get back to town ’til after 10:00 pm!! That’s gonna be a looooong day.
I took Friday off from work. I could use a day off. And after Wednesday … it’ll be nice to be able to sleep in. I’ll probably be going to pick Lisa up in the afternoon (if I don’t do it Thursday after work). And Avalanche is gonna be at the House of Rock Friday nite. That should be fun. I’ve been wanting to check that place out. Now I’ve got an excuse. 
I need to get off this computer. I should set my VCR to take CSI: Miami and go to bed early. But that never happens. I have the best of intentions … LOL. And I was so busy trying to get the admin side of my blog back customized the way I liked it (the posting page) that I haven’t updated my Dale Jr and Chance 2 websites with the stats from this past weekend’s race. I’ll have to do it tomorrow after work. I just don’t feel like doing it now.
And I STILL haven’t researched finding a new bank. And I haven’t ordered my new monitor yet either. I need to stop being so damn lazy.
lazyThe one thing I miss from being in school (the only thing actually … LOL) is the fact that they sometimes started late or dismissed early during the winter because of the weather. And sometimes they closed altogether. I wish work was like that. 
Actually … it was like that today. They let us leave at 4pm. That’s the second time this winter they’ve done that. That’s nice.
WHY did they let us leave early … we’re under a blizzard warning ’til 9am Saturday morning. I’m not sure how much it’s snowed since this morning … but there’s a hell of a lot of snow on the streets and in the parking lots. There were a good few inches on my car that I had to brush off before I could leave.
Driving in town wasn’t so bad … as long as you went slow. It was a bit slippery. But I made it home without incident. Once I got home … that’s another story …
blahI can ALMOST file my taxes. We got our W-2s at work today, and I got a thing in the mail from SLND about my studen loan interest. All I need is the official form from SLND (the 1098-E). The letter said they have to send that out by 31 Jan. Then I just need the stuff from job service about my unemployment. I had them take taxes out of it. Who knows how long it will be before I get that. I’ll probably give them a call sometime next week to see if I can find out.
< rumble rumble rumble /> Maybe I should head to the mall now. My stomach is growling at me. I need to go pick up the Mary Kay stuff I ordered (the girl I ordered from works at the mall and she’s bringing it with her). I’ll probably stop by the food court and pick something up. I was thinking about the chicken selects from McD’s. Don’t know for sure yet. I should just get a sub from Subway (I think there’s one in the food court … LOL). I just know that I’m hungry.
hungryThe time to start treating myself better that is. That’s my New Year’s resolution for 2005. I need to take that seriously.
Today I had my 2nd review at work. I’ve been there just over 6 months. Being how I am, I was ready to get yelled at or even fired. I need to stop being like that. They had good things to say. Just a couple of things I need to work on, but they’re minor. And I’ll be getting another raise. Not sure how much yet, but every little bit helps.
But that shows me that I need to have more faith in myself. I need to stop feeling like everything that goes wrong is my fault.
That being said … I think I’m going to add some motivational quotes to my blog. Some random quotes pulled from a database. I’ve found some sites in the past with good, motivational quotes. Do you know of any? Leave a link in the comments if you do. I want to gather up a bunch to rotate through.
okayWe had our work Christmas party tonite. It was a good time. Tons of laughing. I work with a great bunch of people. We all got presents (they were slippers [fuzzy ones] … at least I think everyone got slippers). There was also a card with a bonus in it. Very unexpected and nice.
We also had a game (of sorts). There were a bunch of wrapped presents and cards and envelopes on the table. We all drew a number and then went up to pick something when Kelly drew our number. I picked up a smaller present but a heavier one. It turned out to be a digital camera … a Kodak EasyShare. Very nice.
We also got drink tickets. We got 2 when we got there and they had extra, so we each got 2 more. That’s 4 TICKETS!! I had 4 Colorado Bulldogs … 
They made ‘em good too. I don’t feel drunk, but I do have a headache. But then again, I had one when I left for work this morning too. I only work a half day tomorrow … but then I’m coming home to bake. Maybe I’ll just take a nap and bake all weekend. We’ll have to wait and see how I feel when I get home tomorrow. I still need to get Dad’s present and I want to get Mona something else and I want to get Tim something too. We’ll see if I feel like going to Walmart too. I’d rather go tomorrow that over the weekend.

tiredI rarely get calls at work (hardly ever in fact … I’ve only talked to a customer once and to Kelly when she’s working at home once or twice), so when Amy told me I had a call this morning, I was like 
It was from Froggy 99.9FM. Turns out I was their “Buncha Brunch” winner this week (they do it on Wednesdays). I won a big tray of bars (brownies, chocolate chip bars, rice crispie bars with chocolate frosting … that kind of stuff) for breakfast. Cool. I had forgotten I had signed up for that. I did shortly after I started working at this job. And I hadn’t had a chance to turn on my radio yet this morning to hear who they drew, so I was suprised. I think my co-workers were happy. It’s always good to get free treats.
hungryI’m all alone at work right now. I’m still technically on lunch for 10 more minutes, but everyone else has left for lunch (I bring my own and eat here). I’m left manning the phones. Thank goodness it hasn’t rung yet … but now that I’ve said that, it probably will … LOL.
It’s finally snowing here. I’m not sure how much has fallen, but it’s more than I wanted to see. The ground is white now. Oh well … it’s to be expected. This is North Dakota after all.
Guess what … the phone just rang. The person said they’d call back … he didn’t want to leave a message.
Man … do I hope the rest of the day goes fast. My stomach has been bugging me all day. I was up at 1am and again around 2:30am. I don’t know if I ate too much cheese yesterday or if this is the start of me getting sick. All I know is it’s not very comfortable right now sitting at my computer. I feel like I need to punch a hole in my stomach and then everything will be all right. It’s not bad enough to go home, but it’s just bad enough to annoy the hell out of me and make me uncomfortable all day. I hope someone else gets back from lunch soon so they can man the phone and I can go to the bathroom …
sickI don’t know what’s wrong with me lately. Ever since my birthday, I can’t seem to do anything right (hell … it probably started before that). I just need to go away … far far away. So I might not be writing much (not like that’s any different from normal).
